Friday 14 November 2025 Anti-Bullying Day This year's anti bullying theme was 'The power of good.' In their house teams, the children participated in different activities to support their understanding of what bullying is and what can be done to stop it. They worked co-operatively to make kindness chains, design anti-bullying superheroes, perform role plays and work as teams to build the highest tower from marshmallows and spaghetti.

Friday 7 November 2025 Football Tournament Our Year 5 and 6 football teams (both girls and boys) showed great teamwork and sportsmanship in their football tournament.

Friday 21 March 2025 World Down Syndrome Day Today we rock our socks for World Down Syndrome Day. The children and staff wore odd socks to raise awareness for Down Syndrome.

Thursday 13 March 2025 Year 3 and 4 Residential to Braeside Our Year 3 and 4 children embarked on their residential trip to Braeside Education Centre last week. Their adventure began with an afternoon filled with problem-solving activities and the low ropes course. The children worked brilliantly in teams, encouraging one another to overcome obstacles and use their value of courage to overcome fears. After a delicious dinner, the excitement continued with the night line – an activity that involved navigating a roped route through the woods in complete darkness! The following day dawned bright and beautiful as they set off on a scenic walk to the town of Devizes, leading to Drew’s Pond. There, they split into two groups for a natural art session and an engaging river study in the little stream, which included a surprise encounter with Tony the frog!

Friday 28 February 2025 Fruit kebabs in Nightingale In Nightingale Class, during DT lessons the children researched seasonal fruit and designed a colourful and tasty fruit kebab. We praticed our peeling and chopping skills to put together the kebabs.

Wednesday 12 February 2025 Water Safety Today we had a vist from the Hart Leisure Swim team, who talked to the children about Winter Water Safety. They learnt about the dangers of cold water, the risks of frozen lakes, and how to respond in emergencies. A huge thank you to Hart Leisure Swim Team for their expertise in keeping our community safe!

Friday 7 February 2025 PCSO Visit On Thursday 7th February our local PCSO (Police Community Support Officer) visited our school to talk with the children about the importance of safety, particularly focusing on 'stranger danger'. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn valuable lessons on staying safe in a friendly and engaging manner.

Friday 7 February 2025 Sporting events Last Friday, both Dogmersfield boys and girls played a football league match against Potley Hill. Both games were played in an excellent temperament and the children were a real credit to our school in the way they conducted themselves. Thank you to all the parents who provided transport and support to both teams.
